My Art Classroom

I Loveee what I do. This year instead of teaching science, I teach ART! A longtime hobby turned passion turned profession of mine! It's great. The kids are wonderful and this year couldn't be off to a better start.

Also coaching boys soccer at the moment! Passion turned profession #2!

Happy Belated: 4th of July

The 4th of July on Lake Murray is not to be missed. Pictures of the boat parade and firework show. This is always such a fun weekend filled with family... And friends that are family.

WSP: Red Rocks

For those of you who don't know already, Widespread Panic is my all time favourite band. They've been around since 1985 (the year I was born), but I started listening in when I was a sophomore in high school riding around on Lake Murray. Since then, I've continued to see Panic live mostly in South and North Carolina and Georgia. So, when one of my best friends Meg called me up and invited me to go to Colorado for a week, and oh by the way I have two tickets to go see Panic at Red Rocks... I couldn't pass the opportunity up. Our trip was absolutely WONDERFUL. We packed so many fun day trips into 5 days it was ridiculous. Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Nederland, Lake Isabelle, Boulder, Rockies Game, and downtown Denver. However, the highlight of the trip was this concert. (and lake Isabelle they tie) amazing amazing amazing. There was some magic happening at Red Rocks that day, on and off the stage. We just so happened to sit down next to a group from Crested Butte, CO and that is where I met my Tom :) Little did we know. Meg and I had a great time singing and dancing the night away. What a show!!! One I will not soon forget.

Memorial Day Weekend

These are some pictures we took before Nick went off to Basic Training. We all got together over Memorial Day weekend to spend time together just being us. A great big happy crazy loving family. We all had a great time and each shed some tears as we said goodbye to our Nicky-boy before he went off to become a man... He has since graduated from basic (with flying colors I might add) and He has been training in Alabama to become an Aviation Operations Specialist (AOS). SOON HE WILL BE HOME!!! and I will get to see my little brother.. all grown up. I'm really looking forward to his homecoming. Love you Nick!

Tula Hats!

This is my latest indulgence. Well, actually, it's a replacement hat for my first Tula that I lost on the 4th of July. I went with a different style this time. The expedition style that I had previously was more western looking, this is the chloe style which I think is a mix between a fedora and cloche.
